Victim walks outside with order and feels something stuck in his side.

A man called police Tuesday afternoon to report being robbed at gunpoint outside a Chinese restaurant in the hospital hill area.

The man told officers he had just picked up an order at Rice King, 77 Stevens St., and was walking to his car when he felt something stuck in his side.

He turned and found he was being confronted by a man holding a gun and demanding his car keys.

The man gave the bandit his keys. He said the perpetrator looked inside his car, took nothing, then came back and reached into his pocket, taking some cash. He then ran away, the victim said.

He said the robber was one of three men who had been standing outside the restaurant when he arrived to get his order. He said the robber wore a black puffy jacket, blue jeans and had a scruffy beard.

Police searched the area and used police dog Kai in an attempt to track down the robber without success.
