Punches tax preparer after learning his refund would be less than expected, police said.

A disgruntled customer allegedly punched a tax preparer Tuesday morning after expressing displeasure with the amount of a tax refund he would be receiving.

Police say Jeffte Sainvil had his tax return prepared at Servi Express, 56 South Main St.

According to police spokesman Lt. Praveen John, he arrived there to pick up his return and found the tax refund he would receive was less than he expected.

Sainvil and the tax preparer got into a confrontation, and the preparer told Sainvil he would have to pay half of the preparation fee he was quoted, John said.

At that point, John said, Sainvil allegedly punched the man on the right side of his face. A secretary at the business called police and officers found Sainvil standing outside.
