Our Farm Survived with Minimal Damage

I hope everyone is safe from Sandy. Here is what is available before the cold weather takes us down...

I hope you are all safe from Sandy.  My heart goes out to those on the shoreline, such devastation.  Our farm survived with minimal damage so here is a note of what is still growing before the colder weather takes us  down.  

Reminder to turn your CLOCKS BACK Saturday night, and also our farm market is CLOSED on WEDNESDAYS!  

If you have power come on over for some fresh delicious produce for soups or casseroles to keep you warm.

Winter squashes make the best soups; escarole ; cranbery & kidney beans ; leeks ; lettuces ; scallions; kale ; collards ; potatoes ; spaghetti sqaush ; eggplant & peppers ; green tomatoes, many beginning to turn red ; hakurei salad turnips ; carrots ; swiss chard ; kohlrabi ; cauliflower; local apples & bread,
