2.  Dine Out: Westport Restaurant Week

  • When: Through Saturday, 10 p.m.
  • Why go: It’s the perfect opportunity to further investigate the “fabulous dining scene” in this coastal town. 3.  Opening Reception: “Arts for Healing” Student Exhibition

4. Authors on Stage: Page Dickey

  • Why go: This Susan McDaniel Lecture welcomes renowned garden designer and author Page Dickey, who will discuss her latest release “Embroidered Ground: Revisiting the Garden” and impart her wisdom on a wide range of gardening issues.

5. “Gather Up The Fragments: The Andrews Shaker Collection

  • Where: Stamford Museum & Nature Center, 39 Scofieldtown Rd., Stamford
  • When: On view through April 24, hours here
  • Why go: This exhibition in the Bendel Mansion Museum Galleries features more than 200 Shaker objects from the collection of Faith and Edward Deming Andrews, who were “among the first to recognize the unique contributions of the Shakers to American culture.” For more information visit www.stamfordmuseum.org or call 203-322-1646.

6.  Arturo O'Farill: Latin Jazz and Afro-Cuban Beats
