MUST SEE TV: GOV. MALLOY TAKES THE GOP TO TASK ON MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE ON MSNBC’S HARDBALL

KEY POINTS:

Last night, Governor Malloy appeared on MSNBC’s Hardball and took the GOP to task on their empty rhetoric against raising the national minimum wage to $10.10 per hour.  During his State of the State address earlier this month, Governor Malloy proposed raising Connecticut’s minimum wage to $10.10.

Governor Malloy: “The people who will benefit the most are women.  Women who are raising families need this raise in our country.”

Governor Malloy: “…$7.25 is not only not a working wage, it’s a poverty wage.  We need to move people out of poverty. We particularly need to move women out of poverty.”
