Rachele Romano, age 82, of Norwalk, died on Monday, July 1, 2013, at Norwalk Hospital.
Born in Minturno, Italy, the daughter of the late Benedetto and Rosa Pugliese, she was the beloved wife of Antonio Romano for 59 years. A loving family woman who enjoyed cooking for her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren, she was a cafeteria worker in the Norwalk School system for over 20 years.
In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by a son, Anthony Romano, and his wife, Mary Jo, of Trumbull, and a daughter, Anna Romano of Norwalk, 2 cherished grandchildren, Christopher and Jason, a sister in Italy and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph Pugliese.
Friends will gather for a Funeral Mass at 10 am on Monday, July 8, at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk, with entombment to follow at St. John Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. For info or online guestbook, please go to: Magnerfuneralhome.com
