Mike Peluso Sr., 93 of Norwalk, died on Sunday, June 22, 2014, at home with his loving family.
Born in Altavilla, Italy on October 19, 1920, the son of the late Pellegrino and Maria (DiTroia) Peluso, he was the beloved husband of the late Gemma (Govetosa) Peluso.
Mike retired from General Motors in 1984. He studied art in Italy and painted murals, portraits, and landscape. He traveled throughout the world and left his legacy in his paintings and generosity of spirit. He loved life and he had a spectacular one until the very end.
He is survived by his son and daughter Michael V. Peluso and his wife Antoinette of Bridgewater, N.J. and Mary Jane Peluso and her partner Michelle Speranza of Norwalk, two cherished grandchildren, Arianna and Christian Peluso and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Vincent Peluso and his sister Amelia Peluso.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave, Norwalk, with entombment to follow at St. John Cemetery.
