Obituary: Michael John Vertula, 78
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wed., Oct. 23, 10:00a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Michael's family will receive friends at Magner Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00-8:00p.m.

Michael John Vertula, age 78, of Norwalk, died Saturday, October 19, at the Norwalk Hospital. He was the husband for 55 years of Carolyn Roxburgh Vertula.
Michael was born in Norwalk on March 3, 1935, the son of the late Frank and Mildred Avalone Vertula and has lived here all of his life. He was retired from Pepperidge Farms.
Survivors also include his children Gary Vertula, Carolyn Vertula and Michael Vertula, his brother Richard Vertula, grandchildren Stacey Cancelli, Dana and Thomas Liberatore, and great grandchild Hayley Cancelli. Michael was also predeceased by his oldest daughter Deborah and his brother Frankie.
