Obituary: Mary Frances Popp, 60

Mary Frances Popp, age 60, of Danbury, died Friday, November 1, at the Danbury Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  

Mary was born in Stamford on April 13, 1953, the daughter of the late Francis J. and Rose D’Agostino Popp and has lived in Danbury for over 30 years.  Mary worked for several years at the Norwalk Hospital and then the Danbury Hospital where she had been a multi-technician.  

Mary enjoyed trips to the casino and into New York City to attend live broadcast TV shows.  She loved animals, especially her cats and dogs.  Mary is survived by her brother Francis Popp of Westchester, OH and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was also predeceased by her brother Robert Popp.     

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 4, 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
