Marianne S. Catalanello , 82 of Ronkonkoma NY, formally of Norwalk Ct. wife of the late Michael J Catalanello and mother of the late Margherite Catalanello. Passed away October 4 2013 at Stony Brook University Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born March 4, 1931 in Ridgewood NY, daughter of the late Emanual and Pauline Gallo. She was predeceased by a Sister Antonina Gambino and her husband Dr. Benedict Gambino and a brother Frank V. Gallo. Survived by her nieces and nephews, Salvatore and Rose Gambino, Eleanora Gambino, Paula and Al Patanella, Nina and Al Salanitro, Gina Molinelli , who was her loving and devoted caregiver, and her husband James and Children. Also nieces Paula Gallo, Carol DeRosa and Lisa and Fred Meiers, Diane Catalanello of Florida, and her sister-in-law Adele Gallo. She also had several great nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours will be at Magner  Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave Norwalk. Monday October 7, 4 to 8 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at  10:00 AM St Jerome's Church, 23 Half Mile Rd. Norwalk, CT. Interment  to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk. Donations may be made in her name to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
