Obituary: Kathleen Krenicki, 55

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at on Thursday October 10, 2013, at 11 at St. Philip Church, Norwalk.

Kathleen Krenicki, age 55 of Norwalk, beloved wife of Daniel Krenicki Jr for 24 years, entered eternal life on October 5, 2013.

Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of Charles and Alice (Haywood) Higgins. “Mrs. K” had a special place in her heart for special education students and dedicated her career in education to them. She taught in the Norwalk Public Schools, served as the Director of Special Education for the Diocese of Bridgeport and was the founder and executive director of the Timothy Memorial School, a small not-for-profit school for children with special needs. 

Kathleen was an active member of St. Philips Church and an Associate of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament. 

She is survived by her father Charles and his wife Jane, her husband Daniel, their 6 children: Justin Krenicki, Mara DeBattista, Jonathan (Ashley) Krenicki, Korina (Dave Guerra) Parizo, Brynne Krenicki and Lydia Krenicki, was “Mima” to 8 cherished grandchildren: Jared Smith, Casey, Matthew, Makenzie and Carter Krenicki, and Julia, Roman and Marilyn Guerra, sisters Denise (Thomas) Pote and Alice (Chris) DiPisa, brothers Charles (Maria), Edward (Terry) and Daniel (Alan) Higgins, 2 God-daughters, Elicia Breen and Sarah Pote and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at on Thursday October 10, 2013, at 11 at St. Philip Church, Norwalk. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 to 8 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk. Burial will be held privately.
