Mary Veronica Gulyas Williams, 95, Proud of Hungarian Heritage

Mary Veronica Gulyas Williams passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012.

Mary Veronica Gulyas Williams, 95, of Norwalk, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Laurel Ridge Health Care Center in Ridgefield, CT. She was the widow of Charles A. Williams of Norwalk.  

Mary is survived by three sons, Paul A. Williams (and Paulette) of Ridgefield, Dennis Williams of Norwalk and Charles A. Williams (and Janet) of Norwalk as well as eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was born in the small coal mining town of Vintondale, PA and was proud of her Hungarian heritage. She was the daughter of the late Paul Louis Gulyas and Susie Harnocz Gulyas. She was predeceased by two brothers, Stephen Gulyas and Paul Gulyas and two sisters, Elizabeth Kish and Irene Toth.  

Calling hours at Magner Funeral Home will be held from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 and services will be held in the funeral home at 10:00AM on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 followed by burial at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk. Father Frank E. Wismer, III of Christ Episcopal Church will be officiating.
