Margaret G. 'Peggy' Kelley, 82, Marymount College Alum

Margaret G. “Peggy” Kelley, wife of Dr. Edward J. Kelley for 54 years, died on April 29, 2012, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 82. 

Margaret was born on March 14, 1930 in Bridgeport, CT to Paul Leroy and Mildred Horan Green.  In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter Margaret M. Kelley of Norwalk, her daughter Paula L. Passero and her husband Robert Passero of New Canaan, her son Edward J. Kelley and his wife Patricia Corrigan of Melrose, MA, her three grandchildren, Kelley Kirchner and Edward and Bridget Kelley.     

Mrs. Kelley graduated from Marymount College, class of 1852, and earned a masters degree in education from Fairfield University in 1959.  She was a devout Roman Catholic and devoted wife and mother.  She was a long term volunteer at St. Thomas the Apostle Church office and for the Norwalk Hospital Women’s Board at Treasure House.     

A wake will be held on Wednesday May 2, from 4:00 PM to 7 PM at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, CT.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 3, at 10:00 AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Ave., Norwalk, CT, 06855.  Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery in Norwalk.  In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in Margaret’s name to St. Thomas the Apostle Church.
