Obituary: Louis C. Kovacs, Jr., 74, Norwalk Choir Group tenor

Louis C. Kovaks, Jr.,74, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2012.

 

Louis C. Kovacs, Jr., age 74, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, September 17.  Louis was born in Norwalk on March 3, 1938, son of the late Louis Kovacs, Sr. and Elizabeth Balon Kovacs.  

With his beautiful tenor voice, he sang for 50 years with the Norwalk Choral Group and drew some of his inspiration from Judy Garland.  He was also a member and strong supporter of Keystone House in Norwalk where he was always warmly welcomed.  Louis also loved animals and will be remembered by his family and friends as a kind and gentle soul.

Louis is survived by his sister Julia Adriani of Winterhaven, FL and many nieces and nephews.  He was also predeceased by his sisters Betty Uhl, Ethel Mangler, Helen Bassone, Mary Tyrrell and Margaret R. Tarone.     

A graveside service for Louis will be held at 1 PM on Monday, Sept. 24, at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk.  In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to PAWS, 504 Main Avenue Norwalk, CT 06851 (www.pawsct.org/)
