Jean A. Iannitti, 73, Enjoyed Sewing, Crafts, Bingo, Bowling, Cards and Even Super Mario Brothers

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14, 10:30a.m. at St. Matthew Church, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery. Jean's family will receive friends at Magner Funeral Home, Sat. 8:30a.m. - 10:00a.m.

 Jean A. Iannitti, age 73, of Norwalk, died peacefully at the Notre Dame Convalescent Home on Monday, January 6 after a long illness. 

Jean was born in Charleston, WV on November 18, 1940, the daughter of the late Theodore and Gay Reed Parsons.  Jean was a graduate of Annapolis High School.  

She enjoyed sewing, crafts, bingo, bowling, playing cards and playing Super Mario Brothers.  The joy Jean received from her children and grandchildren gave her the strength to fight her lengthy illness and she will be dearly missed.  She was voted “Mother of the Year” at Notre Dame.     

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands; Jeanne and Jeffrey Mangels, and Debra and Royce Lowden, her grandchildren Brittany, Julia, Stephanie, Mackenzie and Bryan, and her former husband Pasquale Iannitti, all of Norwalk.  

Jean is also survived by her brothers Theodore, Gary and Gregory Parsons, her sister Janet Tolliver and several nieces and nephews.  

She was also predeceased by her sisters Josephine Hollen and Virginia Whited.     

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14, 10:30a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.  Jean’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Saturday morning from 8:30-10:00a.m..  Donations in her name may be made to Notre Dame Convalescent Home.  For directions or to leave an online condolence, please go to www.magnerfuneralhome.com.
