Helen Rogers Ruggiero Stevens, age 91, of Southport and longtime Norwalk resident, died Monday, March 11, at the Norwalk Hospital. She was the wife of the late Patrick Rogers and the late Leland Stevens.
Helen was born in Norwalk on November 16, 1921, the daughter of the late Amor and Helen Coleman Williamson. She was employed with Biersdorf, Inc. for 20 years and then Choate School for 15 years. Helen was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxilliary and enjoyed knitting, travelling and camping.
Helen is survived by her loving children Russell Rogers, Helen “Jackie” Chaloux, Mary Jane Ruggiero, Louis Ruggiero, Patricia Powers, and Cathleen Rogers, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 15, 10 AM at St. Joseph Church, 85 S. Main St., Norwalk with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. Helen’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk on Thursday from 5-7 PM.
