Dorothy K. Brown, 80, Loved the Outdoors

Dorothy K. Brown, age 80, of Guilford and former Norwalk resident, died Tuesday, November 26 at Apple Rehab Guilford after a lengthy illness.  She was the wife of the late A. Philip Brown. 

Born in Burlington, VT on Nov. 29, 1932, Dorothy was the daughter of the late John and Marion Harran Keefe.  She worked for several years as a medical receptionist in Norwalk and loved volunteering her time at the Maritime Center.  Dorothy enjoyed gardening, animals and was a real outdoors person.    

Survivors include five sons, Stephen Brown and his wife Connie of Norwalk, Michael Brown and his wife Donna of Stratford, Thomas Brown and his wife Sue of East Haven, Peter Brown of East Haven and Robert Brown and his wife Kelli of Pittsburgh, PA, a brother Jack Keefe, a sister Elizabeth Keefe, 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Dorothy was also predeceased by her daughter Cathleen Ann Brown, and her sister, Barbara McCarte.    

Funeral services will be held on Sat., Nov. 30, 11:00a.m. at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
