Darlene Brown, 52, Former Technoserve Employee

Brown died peacefully on April 1 in Wallingford.

 

Darlene Brown, age 52 of Norwalk, CT, died peacefully on Monday, April 1, at Masonicare in Wallingford, CT. She was the partner and wife of Russell J. Williams for the past 31 years.

Darlene was born in Wilmington, NC  on September 6, 1960, the daughter of Walter and Clara Brown of Springfield, MA and has lived locally for the past 29 years. She studied at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and worked for Technoserve, Inc. as Director of Donor Relations. Darlene enjoyed travelling and fund raising for various charities as well as spending quality time with her loving family.

In addition to her husband, Darlene is survived by her daughter, Nicole E. Williams, her sister Brenda Brown (Eddie), her brothers Walter, Jr. (Berdia), Tony, Larry (Mary), Carleton (Pam), and Barry (Jana) Brown. In-laws, Dolly and Israel Powell, Leonard and Tisher Williams, Rosina and Paul Lawrence, and Ruth Williams, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Darlene’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk, CT on Sunday, April 7, from 3-6 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 8, 12 noon at Bethlehem Baptist Community Church, 304 Elm Street, Holyoke, MA. The family will receive friends at church from 11 AM until services begin. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay Street, Springfield, MA.
