Clare Elizabeth (Kenlon) Trudel, 82, Legacy of Faith and Family

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10a.m. on Friday, December 27 at St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave, Norwalk.

Clare Elizabeth (Kenlon) Trudel, 82, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013 at Norwalk Hospital, after a long illness.

She was the devoted and loving wife of Richard J. Trudel and had been happily married for 57 years. Her legacy of faith and family will always be remembered.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her five children, Kevin Trudel and his wife Elaine, Mary Trudel Leone and her husband Dr. Donald Leone, Gregory J. Trudel and his wife Teri, Kathleen Trudel King and her husband Robert and Julia Trudel Watson and her husband Douglas.

She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, her sisters Jane Kenlon Wands of Apex, NC, Mary Kenlon Thompson of Florence SC, her brother Father Joseph Knute Kenlon OFM Cap. She is predeceased by her triplet daughters, Jane Suzanne and Maureen Trudel, as well as her sisters Virginia Kenlon, Gloria Kenlon Jurina and her brother Francis Xavier Kenlon, Jr. 

Clare was born to Francis Xavier Kenlon, Sr. and Marie Burke Kenlon of Mt Vernon, NY in 1931. She graduated from St. Gabriele’s High School, Mount Vernon, Class of 1949, and the Berkely Business School, She held various positions as an administrative specialist over the course of her career working for Brien McMahon High School, IBM and J.H. Whitney & Company.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10a.m. on Friday, December 27 at St. Jerome Roman Catholic Church, Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Ave, Norwalk.

Her family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:P00p.m. to 8:00p.m.at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk.
