Christine Hickey Lombardo, 71, Lifelong Norwalk Resident

Christine Hickey Lombardo, 71, passed away on September 5, 2012. Christine was a life-long resident of Norwalk, CT, before retiring to Virginia after nearly 50 years in the nursing profession. She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas F. Hickey and Bridget Christine Hickey (née Murphy) of Norwalk. Ms. Lombardo attended St. Mary's School in Norwalk and Sacred Heart Academy in Stamford before graduating at the top of her class from the Norwalk Hospital School of Nursing.

Ms. Lombardo’s love for travel and fine cuisine inspired her to compile her perfected recipes into a book on cooking and entertaining, which she recently completed. She is survived by two sons, Peter A. Lombardo, Jr., of Moorpark, CA and Dean E. Lombardo of Round Hill, VA; one sister, Margaret Hickey Bernado of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Thomas J. Hickey of Libertyville, IL and Edwin W. Hickey of Norwalk, CT; and her two beloved grandchildren, Maya and Ty Lombardo.

A reception for her friends and family will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the Ryducha/Pampena home, 8 Glen Pines Lane, Norwalk, between the hours of 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm. The burial service will remain private.
