Barbara J. Krausse, 73, Former Rowayton FD Ladies Aux President

Barbara J. Krausse, 73, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012.

Barbara J. Krausse, 73, of Norwalk, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital on Monday, December 31.  She was the loving wife of Clifford F. Krausse.

Barbara was born on January 30, 1939 in Little Falls, NY, the daughter of Leila Stauring Taylor of Norwalk and the late Carl A. Taylor.  She was a member and past president of both the Rowayton Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary and the Norwalk Boat Club Ladies Auxiliary, and permanent president of her own home.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and mother, Barbara is survived by her daughter Sharon Decarie and her husband Richard of Bethel, her son Thomas “Timmy” Krausse and his wife Linda of Norwalk, her adopted daughter Daphne Martin of Saratoga Springs, UT, brothers Edward Taylor of Bridgeport and Carl Taylor of Stratford, grandchildren Michael, Nicole, T.J. and Shaniya Krausse, and Christina and Jessica Decarie, great grandchildren A.J. and Peyton Horton, and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara’s family will receive friends at the Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Ave, Norwalk on Thursday, January 3,  beginning at 5 PM, with a Prayer Service tol be held Thursday at 7PM.  Interment will be private.   

The family would also like to thank the Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield County and the staff of Norwalk Hospital for the wonderful care Barbara received.  Donations in her name may be made to Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fairfield County, P.O.
