Angelina “Angie” Rose Lagano, age 94, of Norwalk, died peacefully at the Norwalk Hospital surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 10.  She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Lagano. 

Angie was born in Norwalk on November 11, 1917, the daughter of the late John and Anna Arcella Pinto.  She was the former owner of Fashion Fair Cleaners in Norwalk and later worked for the Norwalk Senior Center.  Angie loved cooking for her family every Sunday and reminiscing with her siblings and friends about their early years.  She was a member of the Columbiettes, AARP, the St. Vincent’s Society and was an avid reader.

Survivors include three daughters, Mona Rasekh and her husband Nasser, Anne Benincaso and Joan Lamb, her son Vincent Lagano and his wife Phyllis, her sister, Ann Mackin, 7 grandchildren, Lori Lamb Celentano, James Benincaso and wife Kim, Lynne Benincaso Cicero and husband Rob, Deborah Lamb Cerulli and husband Mark, Joseph Lagano and wife Julie, Vincent Lagano and wife Karen, David Rasekh and wife Dianna.  Also surviving are 13 great grandchildren, Rob Celentano and wife Katie, Chelsea Celentano, James, Tommy and Joey Benincaso, Jamielyn, Faith and Natalie Cicero, Shelby and Mark Cerulli, Olivia Lagano, Mateo and Ben Rasekh, her gr. gr. granddaughter Leena Celentano and many nieces and nephews.  Angie was also predeceased by her siblings Elsie Andriopoulos, Carmela Rignola, Jennie Brigante and Carmine Pinto.     

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 13, 10 AM at St. Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Rd., Norwalk, with burial to follow at St. John Cemetery.  There are no visiting hours and friends will meet at church.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Angie’s name may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to St. Jerome Church.  To leave an online condolence, please go to magnerfuneralhome.com
