Services held will be private.

Information provided by Magner Funeral Home

Alan J. Miller, age 61 of Norwalk, beloved husband of Blaga (Zafirovski) Miller, died on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Bridgeport Hospital. He was born in Norwalk on July 17, 1952. The son of the late Joseph Miller and Eleanor (Kulich) Miller.

In Addition to Blaga, his wife of 20 years, he is survived by his children; Nicole Miller, Gina Miller & Amanda Miller, his beloved grandchildren; Brianna Umpierre, Tyler Fitch and Ryan & Brooke Hernandez, his sister Joyce LaRochelle of Stamford, NY; along with cousins and many nieces and nephews.

Alan had worked as a roofer and carpenter, including his own company “Miller Roofing." His biggest passion was fresh-water fishing. He loved walks at Merwin Meadows in Wilton with his wife Blaga and best friend and loyal companion, Bruno.

Alan was a resident of Norwalk his entire life. He also had a great friendship at Glen’s Variety. Alan had a very big heart and was loved by everyone. Alan put others before himself and greatly appreciated the smallest things in life. He always thought of others and when he did, he would call them or visit them. Alan wasn’t the usual type of father, for he went out of his way just to see his daughters. Never once had Alan turned his back on anyone. He was the type of man who would give you the shirt on his back or give you all of his money, just to make sure you were okay. Alan will forever be missed in everyone’s hearts, including Bruno.

Services held will be private. Any donations can be sent to Blaga Miller, 14 Bedford Ave., Building 3 Apt 2, Norwalk, CT 06850.  To leave an online condolence, please go to www.magnerfuneralhome.com
