About the Carver Foundation of Norwalk

Founded in 1938 and named the 2013 "Nonprofit of the Year" by the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce, Carver is the largest provider of free after-school programs for middle school students in Norwalk and has one of strongest public/private partnerships with Norwalk Public Schools.  Our Youth Development Program is now based within Norwalk’s four middle and two primary high schools as well as Carver’s busy community center. Carver also conducts year-round community outreach initiatives, offers college scholarship funds, designs multiple summer camps, champions winning basketball travel teams, and offers students and their families international learning opportunities, parent leadership, spring and fall college tours, and much more for the benefit of the Norwalk community.
