Carver alumna seeks support for studies in China and France

Below is Carver alumna Sophia's appeal, and here is the link to her GoFundMe page.

Let's help Sophia achieve her dreams!

Hi everyone!
My name is Sophia Lubin, as you know I am a Savannah College of Art and Design Alumna and have been working in the Fashion industry as an assistant designer for the past few years. I took a leap of faith and applied to an MBA program last year at the International Fashion Academy in Paris. This is a program where only 20 percent of applicants get an acceptance and I've had the honor of being accepted. Unfortunately, last year I was not able to attend due to my financial difficulties. My acceptance was continued to this year and I am at a road-block with financing my tuition. Normally, I would incur loans for this opportunity as I truly see it as an investment but am unable to use traditional loans because it is an oversees program. I think it's a blessing to be able to travel the world to learn from other cultures and societies enhancing my already strong foundational knowledge. This is not an opportunity that is given daily and I don’t intend to squander it. Truly, I won’t be able to take this leap without you. I'm reaching out to my amazing support system and all my loved ones to ask for help. The trip is approximately $14500 Euros excluding travel and books. I am currently applying for endless amounts of scholarships and working but with my day-to-day expenses I am unable to save enough to bridge the gap; therefore, I have set my goal for this page at $25000. Any amount will be helpful! I am beyond grateful for any and all donations. Thank you guys for all your amazing support. I grow closer and closer to my dream each day, and I have my support system to thank for that.
