Apple’s Magic Trackpad – It Really Is Quite Magical...

For Mac users with trackpads on their laptop or a separate one for their iMac the basics of using them for simple mouse functions is relatively straightforward. There is much more one can do with trackpads to help simplify your computing experience as well as multitask with great ease, it’s all found in the preferences. A great tip for Mac users of any experience level is to take advantage of the built-in tutorials located in the settings where you select what features you want to turn on or off for your track pad.

If you go to “System Preferences” either from your dock at the bottom of your computer or from the black Apple logo on the top left of your screen, you can select the trackpad icon and see the various options.  As you put your mouse over each option and leave it on the option for a few seconds with out clicking, the tutorial window on the right side will begin to display the physical motions you would perform to use the track pad feature.  If you look at the top of the options box you will see 3 different selections (tabs) that you can click on to view all of the trackpad options that are available to you.

This is a simple way to learn how to the great features your Mac Trackpad, to see what your choices are, what they do and how to perform them.
