Winterfest and the Tunnel of Lights at Connecticut Trolley Museum. Join us for a trolley ride during the holiday season and relive the magic!

Lake Compounce Festival of Holiday Lights: Lake Compounce is covered in thousands of lights producing a spectacular light show set to music. A selection of fun children’s and family rides are open during the Festival of Lights and kids can meet Santa!

Campfire Carols at the Pratt Nature Center: Snuggle by the campfire, sing holiday carols and roast marshmallows at the Pratt Nature Center. Bring a flashlight, blanket, and chairs to this fun, family friendly annual event. Donations of canned or dried foods for the food pantry are admission!

Disco Skate Party at Winter Garden Ice Arena: Grab your kids and their friends and head to the Winter Garden Ice Arena in Ridgefield for a fun Disco Skate Party! Groovy music and wild lights will make this a super fun evening with your friends and family!

Breakfast with Frosty & Friends at the Beardsley Zoo! Get in the holiday spirit and join Frosty and his friends for breakfast at Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo!

The New England Ballet perfoms The Nutcracker: This is the 22nd year of The Nutcracker performed by The New England Ballet! Your kids will delight in this magical holiday story told through the ballet and the amazing music!!

Holiday Hoopla  at Bring the Hoopla. If you are looking to complete your holiday shopping or you would just like an afternoon with friends…drop your wonderful kiddos off with us!!

OUTDOOR ADVENTURES-Winter Solstice Night Hike at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center at Stamford Museum & Nature Center. Celebrate the coming of winter and the shortest night of the year with a family night hike! Discover how night vision works, make a spark in the dark, look and listen for winter wildlife and even make your head disappear (temporarily, of course).

Holiday Handbell Performance Stepping Stones at Stepping Stones Museum for Children. Enjoy the sounds of the season at Stepping Stones as the Trinity Lutheran Church Bell Choir plays a variety of holiday music on handbells! Your kids will be thrilled with this fun musical treat!

Santa on the Trolley at Shore Line Trolley Museum: Take a ride into the past at The Shore Line Trolley Museum and have your children visit with Santa!

Historic Downtown Mystic Luminaria: Head to Mystic for a night of lights, wonder and entertainment on the shortest, but brightest night of the year! Hundreds of luminaries will shine brightly throughout Historic Downtown Mystic while visitors finishing holiday shopping.

Story Time at Barnes and Noble - Norwalk: Bring your kids in to the Norwalk Barnes and Noble to enjoy fun stories and activities!

Bridgeport Sound Tigers Take on the Albany Devils (3 pm game): Bring your family to the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport to catch a fast-paced, high energy Sound Tigers game! Nothing beats hockey for having fun with your kids!

Fantasy of Lights at Lighthouse Point Park: Fantasy of Lights has become a holiday tradition for families all over Connecticut and New England. This colorful light display illuminates Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven for the holiday season. It's a fun event for your kids!

Tea With the Unicorns at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum in New London: Bring your kids to the Lyman Allyn in December to enjoy a special tea party in conjunction with their current exhibition, "The Unicorn Stampede" by glitter artist Camomile Hixon!! Parties will include a hands-on art project, scavenger hunt and more!

Drop In Art For Families at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum: The Aldrich offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about the work and ideas on view in our exhibitions. Just stop by the Education Center to enjoy self-guided, hands-on projects for all age levels. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Gingerbread House and Cookie Workshop for Kids at Lyman Orchards: Make sugary shingles, snow-frosted windows, and add tons of icing and colorful candies for decorating! Children will have fun creating festive Gingerbread Houses and Cookies in the Apple Barrel Bakery at Lyman Orchards. Workshops fill quickly!

5th Annual Greenwich Reindeer Festival & Santa’s Workshop: Santa and his LIVE reindeer are coming back to town for the 5th Annual Greenwich Reindeer Festival & Santa’s Workshop in Greenwich. Families can visit the reindeer and have their photo taken with Santa.

Santa's Express @ Railroad Museum of New England: Take a ride aboard the Santa Express with Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and Santa's friendly elves for an hour and twenty minutes, scenic train ride and family fun! This special experience with the Railroad Museum sells out, please buy your tickets early.
