The New Canaan Library’s Notes in Mid-Winter Series will continue on Sunday January 27 at 3:00 PM in the Adrian Lamb Room of the library, located at 151 Main Street, in New Canaan.
The concert, which sponsored by the New Canaan Community Foundation, is free to the public but seating is limited.

Two-time Grammy nominated violinist Jesse Mills enjoys performing music of many genres, from classical to contemporary, as well as composed and improvised music of his own invention. Mr. Mills lives in New York City, and is on the faculty at Longy School of Music of Bard College and Montclair State University in New Jersey.
Japanese-Norwegian violist Masumi Rostad, has been described as an “expressive and elegant musician”. Currently, Masumi lives in Bloomington, Indiana where he is a professor of viola at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music. He is also on the faculty of the University of Chicago.
As a former member of the Daedalus Quartet, cellist Raman Ramakrishnan won the grand prize at the 2001 Banff International String Quartet Competition. He lives in New York City and plays a Neapolitan cello made by Vincenzo Jorio in 1837.
Highly regarded as a pianist and conductor, Jonathan Yates made his professional orchestral conducting debut at 23, leading the National Symphony Orchestra in a Millenium Stages Concert. He is in his second season as the Music Director and Conductor of the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra.
