Justice's Tail of Courage

This blog by Cynthia Exner really broke me up. It's about a dog taken in by local rescue group Tails of Courage. The dog, "Justice," lived the first several years of life at the end of a short chain, eating and sleeping in the dirt.
Tails of Courage has an adoption event scheduled for Sat. Oct. 26th at Petsmart in Norwalk from 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. Tails of Courage is located at 1 Pembroke Rd in Danbury. Adoption Hours at 9:00a.am. to 5:30p.m. seven days a week.

Vigil for Puppy Doe

There is a vigil for "Puppy Doe," whose case of extreme cruelty has gained attention. For those of you who have not heard, her story is told on Patch. There is a movement brewing in Puppy Doe's honor to raise awareness of animal cruelty and "Justice for Puppy Doe" Facebook page has over 58,000 Facebook likes.

The vigil is Sat., Oct. 26, 5:00pm-8:00pm, which is also National Pit Bull Awareness Day.
Vigil location: Dag Hammerskold Plaza in Manhattan. (E. 47th St in Manhattan between 1st & 2nd Avenues)

Howl & Prowl in Greenwich on Sunday
