The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield announced on Thursday that Ryan Odinak has decided not to continue as executive director of the organization.

Odinak has served in that capacity since 2008, when the Cultural Alliance was founded, and has succeeded in developing it into the dynamic resource that it is today. Her tenure will end in six months, after which she plans to pursue her personal creative endeavors and continue her career in arts and cultural management as an independent consultant, according to a release from the Cultural Alliance. Odinak will continue to lead the organization and maintain its services while the board undertakes a search.

“I have been privileged to work with a terrific staff, board of directors and alliance members who have all helped build an organization that I am extremely proud of today," Odinak stated in the release. "The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County has a great reputation for serving the arts and culture sector and bringing cultural leadership to the region and the state. I am confident it will remain a strong and growing presence into the future.”

“The Board of Directors join me in thanking Ryan for her dedication and all she has done to build the Cultural Alliance. She is widely respected as a leader who goes the extra mile to serve the arts and cultural sector," President of the Board, Elisabeth Morten, stated in the release. "We are grateful for the time she spent developing the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County and are sad to see her go, but look forward to bringing new leadership that will continue to grow the organization."

The Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County, with offices at 301 West Avenue in Norwalk, is a nonprofit organization serving arts and cultural organizations, artists and creative businesses by providing unified marketing—FCBuzz.org, professional development, and advocacy.
