Fairfield County’s Very Own Food and Wine Festival

Greenwich Food and Wine Festival 2012 benefits Hole In The Wall Gang Camp

Listen-Up Everybody!

Are you a die-hard foodie?  Do you love to eat great food?  Are you addicted to cooking shows on TV?  Are you a bold adventurer in your own kitchen?

If you have answered “yes” to one or more of the above questions, then you need to get your you-know-what to this year’s Greenwich Food & Wine Festival from Oct 4-6th!   Presented by Serendipity Magazine, this is not just a gathering place of local chefs and restaurants … in fact this is a congregation of local and national culinary masters.

My favorite part about this festival is that it is a huge YET small-enough event to allow you to rub elbows with the best of the best.

With plenty of opportunities to see culinary masters demonstrating their craft on stage, to celebrity chef book signings, to mingling with the same in a wonderful culinary village which brings you a taste of the best of Fairfield County in food and wine.

I speak from personal experience.  Last year, was the first time Serendipity Magazine put together this amazing foodie event.  I was so excited and immensely curious.  I looked it up on their website and saw that they were looking for volunteers (btw: volunteers get a free pass to the festival).  Twist my arm, I thought …. and I decided to volunteer.  How fun it was! It gave me a close up look at all the action.  I can tell you that, for its first year, I was blown away by how well organized and superbly orchestrated this event was.   There were no flaws … just tons of great food, lip-smacking BBQ, excellent wine, amazing live music, and countless happy faces all around.

Why is it the panel for this event does not include a single advocate for gun-owners' rights? WithRead More all due respect to Chief McNamara, why does the panel not include a person who can speak to gun safety from a gun-owning civilian's perspective? ML, you claim that the assembled folks "do not offer judgements about gun ownership" but they are not including a single voice that can offer a perspective on gun ownership. I have been to "education" sessions sponsored by Meg's March for Change and they are one-sided indoctrinations into gun control advocacy. >>>> I was in Hartford for the public hearings in January when both Meg and March co-founder Nancy gave their personal testimonies and they all but threatened the legislators on the panel with election day retribution for all those who did not tow the gun-control line of thinking (i.e. March and CAGV). To suggest that Meg "does not offer judgements" is fallacious and disingenuous.
