Norwalk Seaport Association Pirate Weekends

Pirates are
landing on Sheffield Island, welcoming guests who visit the island and historic
lighthouse on two weekends in July.
Visitors who take a round-trip ferry ride to the lighthouse will
encounter pirate re-enactors who will dazzle them with story telling, sea
chanteys, sword fighting and cannon fire demonstrations, among other
pirate-like traditions.   Pirate Weekend activities are free, but participants must
purchase round-trip ferry tickets to Sheffield Island.

Tickets to the island are $22.00
for adults, $12.00 for children ages 4-12 and $5.00 for children, 3 and
younger.  The Norwalk Seaport Association
ferry to Sheffield Island departs at 11:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. from the Sheffield Island dock, adjacent
to the Stroffolino Bridge, at the corner of Washington and Water Streets in
South Norwalk.
