                             WEEKEND EVENTS


      November 9th, 10th and 11th will bring excitement to The Wilson Avenue Loft Artists workspace in South Norwalk, as ‘WALA’ celebrates its FIFTH YEAR ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION and OPEN STUDIOS SALE. The weekend event will kick off on Friday evening, from 6-9pm, with the opening reception of their Fall exhibition entitled, “Recent Works”. WALA’s membership consists of a cross section of artists from Fairfield County, with artists hailing from Westport, Darien, New Canaan, Rowayton, Wilton and Ridgefield. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch some artists at work and chat with them about process and techniques.

     This fourteen-member group of WALA artists works in a variety of media including illustration, painting, printmaking, mixed media, jewelry design and photography. They also work with clients and designers to create commissions specifically to suit their individual needs. Several of WALA’s artists have been exhibited nationally and internationally, with many present in numerous private and public collections. 


     ‘WALA’ is located at 225 Wilson Avenue in South Norwalk on the second floor, accessed via the outdoor staircase and elevator. There is plenty of parking available!  Aside from Friday’s opening reception, the shopping hours for Saturday and Sunday studio visits commence at 11 am and end at 4 pm. All works will be for sale, with varied price points to suit all art lovers! Free and open to the public!
