"The Rocky Horror Picture Show" on Maritime Aquarium's giant screen

Let’s do the time warp again with Dr. Frank-N-Furter on The Maritime Aquarium's giant movie screen. “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” the campy cult film that is heavy on audience participation, will play on Sat., Oct. 27 at 8 & 11 p.m.

“The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is a send-up of science-fiction B-movies of the 1940s, ’50s and ’60s. Newlyweds Brad and Janet (Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon) get a flat tire and seek help in a castle owned by Frank (Tim Curry), a “sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania.” Death, sex and mayhem ensue.

Participants are encouraged to dress up as the film’s characters, and to bring rubber gloves, newspapers and party horns. Maritime Aquarium staff will handle the “interactive” elements involving rain, rice and toast. Please: no throwing items at the screen!
