Richard Ventre’s artistic venue is in a unique style of photomontage -- a pastiche of photographic, digital and painterly disciplines. This presentation will introduce the audience to Ventre’s unique process – taking them from “before” the camera clicks, to “beneath” the elements of photomontage and “beyond” where the individual viewer perceives the image.
“This will be a wide-ranging visual presentation that demonstrates my style of photomontage” says Ventre. Several of the models with whom I work will join me as I will discuss the processes and techniques we have evolved to create the images, as well as visuals of the work and a brief demonstration of that work.”
An award-winning RAC exhibiting member, Ventre was a scenic artist for the theater and motion pictures. He was a Chargeman Scenic Artist on more than 50 movies, including the Emmy Award-winning Death of a Salesman, and the Academy Award-winning Sleepy Hollow. He completed his career painting scenery and props for the Metropolitan Opera.
