Nancy Witter – Growing up in a very large Irish
“Cathaholic” family gave Nancy Witter all the comedic material she would
need to sustain her through her prolific comedy career. Nancy was a
staple for ten years in the comedy variety show “Poole Party” at the
world famous “Don’t Tell Mama” in the heart of Times Square in New York
City. That show proved to be a huge hit and went on to win the
prestigious “Backstage Bistro Award” and several New York City MAC
Awards. Nancy also has been awarded four New York City MAC Awards, three for “Outstanding Comedy’ and one for her one woman show “Dignity Check…Please”. The New York Times said of her comedy “She is the mother of
two with a razor sharp wit”; and “she treats comedy like she is telling
stories at a cocktail party”! Backstage Magazine described her
performance as having “hilarious, razor- sharp delivery, and facial
double takes like those of the great old-time comediennes.”

In 2005 Nancy auditioned for Nick at Nite’s “Americas Search for the
Funniest Mom in America”. The show had over 1,000 submissions and Nancy made it to the final five when it aired on Nick at Nite on May 3, 2005.

Nancy then joined two other finalist, and this comedy trio has been touring, and selling out in theaters all across the country in the smash
hit comedy “Mama’s Night Out”. She also performs across the country at
clubs and corporate events, and has appeared at the Riviera Hotel and
Casino in Las Vegas, and the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.

Nancy was part of an ensemble cast in an independently produced sitcom pitch pilot, “Wit’s End”, and she played a small but hilarious role in the independent comedy film, “STAGS” scheduled for release in late 2010. Nancy and her daughter Annie were featured on a full half hour segment of Lifetime’s new program “Mom’s Cooking”.  Most recently Nancy was featured as an Iron Chef on Dr. Oz.

Nancy met and married Jack Bella in 2007. This life changing event
served to give her not only a new name, but also a new outlook on life.
Toward that end Nancy enrolled at NYU and received her Professional
Certification in their Life Coaching program. Nancy is developing a one
hour motivational/inspirational lecture series called “Laugh, Learn, Launch” and “All Grown Up…Now What Do I Do???”. It is a funny,
insightful and entertaining look at aging, change, courage and choices.
It is meant to help women get re-inspired in their lives and laugh all
along the way! It will be a perfect combination of humor, hope, and
inspiration.
