The
Center for Global Studies, an inter-district magnet school languages program
within Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk, will host an open house on
Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 7:30 a.m. for prospective
students and parents. Students from over
15 school districts in Fairfield County study a choice of Arabic, Chinese or
Japanese for all four years of high school to prepare them for a global society. Two-week study tours to Morocco, China or
Japan are held each year, during which students live with host families, attend
local schools with classes taught in the native language, and visit important
cultural sites. For more information,
