Book & A Movie: Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe

A heartfelt novel about an unusual friendship - one woman's past inspiring another woman to improve her current situation - that transcends time in the deep South at the popular Whistle Stop Café during the 1930s.  The critically-acclaimed 1991 movie, 137 minutes long and nominated for 2 Academy Awards (Jessica Tandy for Best Actress and Fannie Flagg, the novel's author, for Best Adapted Screenplay), will follow the book discussion.
