Governor Dannel P. Malloy to Visit Norwalk for Rilling Fundraiser

Notable guests will include Governor Malloy, Congressman Himes and State Senator Bob Duff.

Sasqua Road will be buzzing with Democrats this Friday, as they descend on the Amoruccio Estate for Democratic mayoral fundraiser.

City residents, Daniel J. & Vincent J. Amoruccio will be hosting a fundraiser to benefit Norwalk’s Democratic candidate for Mayor, Harry Rilling.  Rilling, Norwalk’s former police chief is looking to unseat four-term Republican incumbent, Richard Moccia.

Notable guests will include Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Congressman Jim Himes, State Senator Bob Duff, amongst others, who will be on hand to lend their support for Rilling.

If successful on November 5, Harry Rilling will be the third Democrat to head the city in over twenty-five years.

“We are inviting anyone who is supporting Harry into our home this Friday”, says co-host,  Daniel Amoruccio in a release. “There will be refreshments, food and entertainment on hand during this rare and memorable event.”

Rilling has been endorsed by the Norwalk Professional Fire Fighters Association and the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees Local 1717, which represents the Norwalk Police Department.

On Tuesday, former opponent Vinny Mangiacopra (D) who was vying for the Mayor’s seat endorsed Harry for the win.  Mangiacopra lost to Rilling in September’s primary with the second most number of votes.

“It’s great to see the democrats unite and back Harry”, said co-host, Vincent Amoruccio in the release. “We must all band together as one and make a positive change for our city.”

Tickets are limited and available by contacting the Rilling Campaign at (203) 295-4945 or visiting their web site at www.rillingformayor.com.  If room allows,  tickets may be purchased at the door.
