What's Hot This Winter in Norwalk

The answer is simple: coffee.

Norwalk Patch stopped in to the Post Road Diner to see how area visitors were gearing up and beating away all the recent cold weather. We asked diner manager Juan Zuniga what kind of cold weather comfort food people were seeking out.

The answer was a bit surprising. Coffee. In itself, that's not so surprising. What was surprising was the amount of it.

"Coffee? Forget about it," said Zuniga, gesturing to a bag roughly three times the size of your average bag of cereal. "We're going through about sixteen bags of this a week."

A waitress also pointed out, if you're looking for a nice, warm compliment to that coffee to help fight off a chill, the chicken pot pie is quite the popular dish as well.

"Everything's moving," he said. "We sell a lot of pot pies in the colder months. They're our special on Thursday."
