A recent study conducted by The Business Journals’ On Numbers publication, based on the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2009 American Community Survey, ranks 483 “medium” US cities and towns with populations between 50,000 and 100,000 based on average commute time.

The study awarded points for every worker whose commute takes less than 30 minutes — and took away points for every commuter who said their commute was longer than that.
