Seven Norwalk Videos from the Past Seven Days

Here are some videos involving Norwalk people, businesses or events that have been uploaded in the past week (and see the link to the bonus, eighth video).

Here's a video look at Norwalk in seven videos uploaded to YouTube from the past seven days (plus one more, uploaded to the Vimeo website):

  1. The boys band Burnham plays at Stepping Stones Museum on Wednesday, Aug. 10 (uploaded Aug. 14). Time: 1:07
  2. A satirical video featuring an Obama lookalike. YouTube description: "A Special Message from our 44th President, Barrack Obama, regarding his Presidency. This video was filmed by 203 Studios in Stamford, CT and edited by PRCov Films in Norwalk, CT." Uploaded Aug. 8, but it may have been taped much earlier (it mentions the 2012 elections as being "two short years from now"). Time: 2:18
  3. A residential real estate ad for 191 Perry Ave. in Norwalk. Time: 2:19
  4. Connecticut House Republican Leader Larry Cafero of Norwalk, interviewed on the Connecticut Public Radio show "Where We Live," uploaded by the House Republicans to YouTube on Aug. 8 (there's no information on the YouTube page about when this interview was done). This is audio with pictures provided by the House Republicans leadership office. Time: 12:55
  5. Forty-seven seconds of jelly fishes floating gracefully in a tank at the Maritime Aquarium, taken from an Android cell phone, with crowd noise in the background. It seems to be pretty much what you'd see if you visited the aquarium and saw that particular tank.
  6. George Rotello of Ridgefield invented an "Oyster Gun"—a device held like a gun, although it's essentially a vice that squeezes an oyster, opening a slit in the side that you can easily get a knife in. Interesting product. The video is more than four minutes, but it just repeats, so just look at the first 47 seconds and you'll get the idea. (Uploaded Wednesday, Aug. 10.)
  7. A Norwalk Community College "One on One" video about Crunch Fitness in Norwalk, uploaded Aug. 9, but it appears the video was made before March. One of the co-owners talks about the business. Time: 7:51

Here's a bonus: Norwalk videographer Scott Frosh's Gold Frog Digital business posted its latest demo tape, showcasing some of Frosh's work, at the Vimeo website.
