Over the next several weeks crews from the state Department of Transportation will strip and paint all of the structural steel on the bridge, which has become badly rusted.

The I-95 Yankee Doodle Bridge in is reportedly getting a fresh coat of paint.

According to a report in The Hour of Norwalk, over the next several weeks crews from the state Department of Transportation will strip and paint all of the structural steel on the bridge, which has become badly rusted. The work is expected to cause minor traffic delays.

According to the report, scaffolding and containment enclosures have already been installed on the bridge, which carries I-95 traffic over the Norwalk River, and work should commence soon.
