NCC President to Serve on Board of Regents
Norwalk Community College President David Levinson will juggle both roles, according to a report.
President David Levinson — who attended a Friday for the opening of NCC’s new Center for Science Health and Wellness — has reportedly been selected to serve as interim vice president for community colleges at the Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education, which oversees 17 public institutions in Connecticut, including its community colleges and state universities.
According to a report in The Hour of Norwalk, Levinson will continue to serve as president of NCC and will juggle both roles. His interim role on the Board of Regents will begin Jan. 1 and will last until a permanent replacement is selected in early 2012, according to the report.
According to the report Levinson was approached by interim Board President Robert A. Kennedy, who offered him the opportunity to assume the dual role.
