Motorcyclist Killed in Accident on I-95 in Norwalk
The woman, identified by state police as Ines Franco, 29, of 114 Washington St., Phillipsburg, N.J., was declared dead on the scene, according to a report in the CT Post.
I-95 southbound in was reportedly closed for several hours Sunday morning after a female motorcyclist was killed in an accident near Exit 16.
According to a report in the CT Post, the woman, a resident of New Jersey, was riding with two other motorcyclists in the right lane near Exit 16 at about 3:30 a.m. when one of the others experienced a tire blowout.
Her 2006 Suzuki motorcycle was then struck by car driven by Matthew Smith, 31 of Norwalk, according to the report, knocking her off the bike and into the center lane.
