Governor: Report Damages to 2-1-1 Hotline

State says residents and businesses who suffer damage inflicted by Hurricane Irene should document them and call state's hotline

The state is urging any business or resident who experienced property damage from Hurricane Irene to report it to the state’s free telephone infoline, 2-1-1, or online at www.211ct.org.

Officials will then use the information collected to help put together the state’s official request for a disaster declaration from FEMA.

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy called the step “critical” in the state’s bid to secure federal aid.
