Five Things You Need to Know About Norwalk: September 16

Live Green Connecticut is back, plus more.

  1. , 208 East Ave. is having their annual tag sale this weekend. Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  2. The 2nd Annual Live Green Connecticut will take place this Saturday and Sunday at Taylor Farm. "Celebrate and learn to ‘Live Green’ at our two day fun filled festival for all ages! Enjoy Delicious Food, Live Music, Eco-friendly shopping, Environmental speakers and exhibits! ‘Green’ Dogs Welcome….on a Leash of course." Per the website.
  3. This Saturday the 13th Annual Matthew Zucker Memorial Scholarship Fund Ergathon will take place with a tag sale and a rowing machine you can try at 385 Connecticut Ave. and two other area locations.
  4. The Teen Advisory Board of the is again meeting each month, starting Monday, Sept. 19 at 4:00 p.m. If you're between 12 and 18, you can make a difference in your library. Make recommendations on what to buy, on programs and on other ways to make the library a better place for teens. You can earn community service credit, too.
  5. Don't forget to put your Hurricane Irene yard waste out for the city to pick up this Saturday if you are in the 4th taxing district and have regular garbage pick up on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.
