Five Things You Need to Know About Norwalk: September 15
The Rajko Gypsy Orchestra plays tonight at 7:30 at Crystal Theatre in SoNo; the DMV closes shop Friday morning; "Family Fun" nights Friday at both YMCA & Stepping Stones; & more.
- Travel to Budapest, Hungary tonight as the highly acclaimed eight-member Rajko Gypsy Orchestra will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. at Crystal Theatre, Ben Franklin Theater, 66 Bayview Ave., SoNo. Tickets are $30 and may be purchased online at www.crystaltheatre1.ticketleap.com and www.crystaltheatre.org. Tickets will also be available at the door. Refreshment will be served.
- The morning for training, but will be open from 1 to 4 p.m.
- Friday night is Family Fun Night at the Norwalk YMCA. "Bring the family down to the Y for a great time of family fun, including family swim, crafts, scavenger hunt, games with prizes and much more! On Friday, Sept. 23 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. you are invited to"celebrate literacy with story time, dine in our café, take a photo with Winnie the Pooh, and join in a musical parade." $10 for members and $12 for non-members. Registrations are highly recommended.
- It's the last week to catch the Carriage House Arts Center - located in - performance of POSEDION! An Upside Down Musical. "Both a musical parody and a loving homage to the 1972 disaster film classic, Poseidon! An Upside Down Musical centers on a group of scrappy passengers who fight for survival after their cruise ship capsizes on New Year’s Eve by singing their way to the top of the ship - and about the devoted fans who gather every New Year’s Eve to watch the film." $20 Fridays and Saturdays; $15 Sundays. Price includes wine and cheese at intermission.
