Five Things You Need to Know About Norwalk: June 10
The "Fast Five" things you need to know for today and the near future.
- The PG-13 Hollywood hit “Fast Five” starring Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson opens tonight at the at The Maritime Aquarium with showings at 6:30 and 9:15 p.m.
- The Car Show will have up to 80 cars on display - some fast and furious - from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 12 in the parking lots outside the Aquarium’s main entrance and its IMAX Theater. Trophies will be awarded for Best in Show, as well as for Best: Import, Domestic, Paint, Engine and “Old Skool.”
- On Wednesday, June 15 Downunder of Rowayton will host a Full Moon Paddle from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. It is an adult only event so find a babysitter. For more information contact them at 203-642-3660.
- at 85 South Main Street and at 46 Concord Street have their tag sale fundraisers this Saturday, June 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be food, refreshments and music. (See our in Norwalk and the region.)
- Monday, June 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. , East Campus will host House GOP Leader Lawrence F. Cafero, State Rep. Terrie Wood and State Rep. Gail Lavielle as they speak about "the major issues handled during the 2011 Legislative Session followed by an open conversation with the audience. The presentation will focus on the current financial situation in Connecticut and the changes to the current tax system and additional fees that residents need to prepare for at home and at work."
