Five Things You Need to Know About Norwalk: April 26
Drug "Take-Back" Day, Book Sale, Maritime Cruise, Quilt and Rodeo: All happening this Saturday!
- Saturday April 30 is the second nationwide Prescription Drug “Take-Back” Day. The D.E.A. will be collecting potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction at from 10 to 2 p.m. This is a free, no questions asked service for the public.
- The Book Sale is scheduled for April 30 through May 3, with a special held on April 28.
- Stop by Historic SoNo this Saturday from 1 to 7 p.m. and create a panel for the Norwalk Quilt Trail at 136 Washington Street. The panels will be displayed in the windows of the vacant storefront for all to see.
- Come aboard the Marine Life Study Cruises offered by . Starting April 30 these adventure cruises will bring different animals up out of the Sound and onto the research vessel Oceanic for a hands on learning experience.
- Yee-Haw the Rodeo is in town ... The Bicycle Rodeo that is. Come to on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and learn bicycle safety and basic skills. Participants will receive either a free helmet or t-shirt. Music, prizes, entertainment and activities for all.
